Youth-Led Project To Help Our Planet

We began with less than 10 members, building stick structures on the floor of the art room.

 Our Biotopia project started as the Biotope club at Basis Independent. We set up Biotopes, or naturalistic aquariums, to teach students about conservation. However, our mutual love for the environment inspired us to expand. Through our successful volunteer events at city parks and wildlife preserves, we became empowered to begin working more toward environmental conservation as a whole. Our efforts now involve public education, seedling distribution, volunteering events, and aquarium setups!
